Four steps, all of them from your phone
No scratch card to buy, no office to travel to, no queue. You find a school, apply, pay the fee with mobile money, and follow the application until the school decides.
What you need before you start
Two things. Get them ready and an application takes about fifteen minutes.
- A phone that receives SMS
This is how you sign in and how a school reaches you. It does not have to be a smartphone, and it can be a phone you share — but it must be one you can get to when a message arrives.
- A photo of your results slip
Take it in good light, flat on a table, with all four corners in the frame. A clear photo from a phone camera is fine; you do not need a scanner. Some schools ask for a birth certificate too.
You do not need a password, a bank account, an email address, or a computer.
- Step 1 of 4
Find a school
Search the directory and open the schools you are interested in.
- Filter by region, by kind of school, by boarding or day, and by whether the school takes boys, girls or both.
- Each profile shows the programmes on offer, the entry requirements as the school states them, and whether it is accepting applications right now.
- You do not need an account to look. Sign in only when you are ready to apply.
- Step 2 of 4
Apply
Fill in your details once. Use them for every school you apply to.
- Your name, date of birth, contact details and results go in once and are saved to your account.
- You choose your programmes in order of preference. Most schools let you pick two or three.
- You can save and come back later. Nothing is sent to a school until you press submit — until then it is yours alone, and no school can see it.
- Step 3 of 4
Pay with mobile money
Each application has a fee set by the school. Pay it from your phone.
- MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash and AT Money all work. You approve the payment on your handset with your own PIN.
- The fee and the school's name are shown before you pay, and you get a receipt with a reference you can quote.
- If a payment fails, nothing is submitted and nothing is charged. Try again or use a different wallet.
- Step 4 of 4
Follow it to a decision
Watch your application move, and get an SMS the moment it changes.
- Submitted, under review, information requested, offer issued — you see the same state the admissions office sees.
- If the school needs another document, you are told exactly what and can upload it from your phone.
- When an offer arrives you accept or decline it here, and the school knows straight away.
What it costs, and how long it takes
- Looking is free
- Searching the directory, reading profiles and comparing schools costs nothing and needs no account.
- The fee is the school's
- Each school sets its own application fee and it is shown on the school's page before you start. EnrollGhana does not add a charge on top of it.
- Decisions vary
- Some schools decide in days, others wait until a cycle closes. The application page always shows where yours has got to.
